Sidelights:

Both the teams involved in this match, played according to their position on the points table. Kings XI Punjab played like table toppers and Delhi Daredevils justified their bottom place. DD batting lineup failed miserably again and when their captain could score his first half century in the last game of the league phase it tells you the story that how poorly prepared DD has turned up for the second consecutive season of the IPL. Last time around also they were at the bottom of the table and this time, despite they had a chance to get a better team at the auctions, they failed. There is some serious introspection needed not only for the team management but the franchise owners as well. KXIP on the other hand should not feel complacent as they are going to play the first Qualifier in KKR’s own backyard.
