Since all four major are done with now its time to look forward to more PGA tour action as people call it a ‘postseason’ tournaments or even the FedEx Cup playoffs. One such tournament is the Barclays which is going to take place at New Jersey’s ‘Ridgewood Country Club’ from 21st August to 24th August (Thursday to Sunday).

Top 125 top golfers were qualified originally for the tourney but Dustin Johnson, Jason Dufner and Steve Stricker have withdrawn their names already hence the tournament will be played between 122 players this year. But all eyes will be on Rory McIlory who has hit a purple patch by winning two majors on the trot this year. Along with McIlory, Adam Scott who is a defending champion and the great Phil Mickelson will also be amongst the favorites.

About the Ridgewood Country Club

The host of this year’s Barclays tournament, the Ridgewood Country Club was established in 1890 in the state of New Jersey but was moved to Paramus in 1926. The golf course is 7, 319 yards long and it has par – 71 course. This is going to be 3rd time when the Ridgewood Country Club will host the Barclays tournament. First time it was in 2008 when Vijay Singh won the tournament and then in 2010 when Matt Kutchar won it.

The official PGA Website pgatour.com will telecast it live every day from 8am to 6pm ET. But for the ‘television preferring‘ viewers these are the timings.
