Today, the 6th November marks a special day for each international cricketer who have already played the great game of cricket or is still playing it along with billions of cricket fans across the glob, as it marks the start of the countdown for 100 days before the start of the tournament. The 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup is going to be the 11th edition since the tournament begun way back in the year 1975 in England. This year the biggest cricket tournament is going to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand. Previously these two countries have successfully hosted the tournament in 1992 as well.
The preparations for the ICC World Cup 2015 have already been intensified and the momentum has gathered pace as well. The organizer of this premier cricket tournament, the International Cricket Council or the ICC has already started to make its efforts to make these next 100 days fare more interesting as well. To start with the ICC has announced ‘the favorite CWC moments’ of all time competition. From 6th November 2014 till 13th February 2015 every day the ICC will release details about 100 greatest moments in the Cricket World Cup history.
Fans can login to the official ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 website to join the competition and can also give their answers on the social media platform too. These 100 moments will be released in a random manner and then the fans can decide which are the most memorable CWC moments ever in the history of the tournament. The top 10 short listed fans will get a chance to win 10 LG OLED TV sets. The announcement of the prize winners will be done on the morning of the opening game of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
The first match of the tournament will be played between the co-hosts New Zealand and Sri Lanka on 14th February at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. On 2nd March the single Greatest World Cup Moment from all previous 10 world cups will be announced by the ICC.
This is not it, the first ever commercial on the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup was also released by the ICC. Today both in Sydney and in Auckland series of events are organized by the ICC to celebrate the start of the 100 days countdown.
