Sidelights:

RCB’s superstar batting line up had not lived up to the expectations till now. Even in this match they were not doing well either until AB de Villiers took charge of the proceedings. Despite he had been outrageous ever since he took the guard; the RCB innings was again controlled by Steyn and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. But then it was do and die situation for de Villiers and he just pounced on it and took 24 runs off Steyn’s last over and sealed the match for the RCB. On the other hand Steyn too applauded de Villiers’ outrageous efforts, such was the innings played by ABDV.
