Glenn James Maxwell, who was born on 14th October, 1988 plays for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield, the Australian domestic cricket competition. Glenn Maxwell also plays for a local club in Melbourne city called Fitzroy Doncaster. Known for his flamboyant, ruthless and fearless batting Glenn Maxwell has attracted many cricket fans across the cricketing world. Maxwell holds the fastest fifty record in the domestic one day cricket of Australia by scoring 50 runs off just 19 balls. For the Australian domestic T20 league, the KFC T20 Big Bash League, Glenn Maxwell plays for the Melbourne Renegades. Since 2010 he plays for the Hampshire team in the English domestic T20 tournament called Friends Life T20.

Because of his fearless and attacking style of batting, Glenn Maxwell recently has become a very popular cricketer in the T20 league cricket. He was first bought by the Delhi Daredevils in 2012 Indian Premier League as a replacement for Travis Birt and next year Glenn Maxwell became the most expensive player ever in the IPL as Mumbai Indians bought him for US$ 1 million. But Mumbai Indians did not use him well and he was dropped from the 2014 retention list of the team. Kings XI Punjab took the opportunity in the auction and he was purchased by them. In the very first game of the IPL 7 against Chennai Super Kings, Glenn Maxwell stunned the audience by scoring 95 runs in just 43 balls with 15 fours and 2 SIXES!

Glenn Maxwell had a fantastic IPL as he kept on hitting the 90 runs mark throughout the competition and amassed 552 runs in the entire series.
