Professional Career of Gemma Flynn
Gemma Flynn is a New Zealand female field Hockey player. She participates for the New Zealand women’s National Field Hockey Team, which is fondly called Black Sticks Women. She made her debut for the Black Sticks Women sine 2008. She was part of the team for the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and also the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games as well. Gemma Flynn was part of the New Zealand Women’s Hockey Team, which won the Silver Medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the Bronze Medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
She was also part of the Bronze medal-winning team at the 2011 Hockey Champions Trophy in Amstelveen in the Netherlands. In 2009, just after a year with the team, she also became part of the New Zealand Champions Challenge winning team in Cape Town, South Africa.

Gemma Flynn was born in Tauranga and is the youngest child of Rob and Michelle Flynn. She studied at the Tauranga Intermediate School and then at Tauranga Girl’s College. Since January 2013, Gemma Flynn has been studying sports science at Massey University on Auckland’s North Shore. Gemma Flynn has been playing field hockey since she was just 5 years old.
She considers her debut for the Black Sticks Women as the highest point of her professional career. She has sacrificed her friends, holidays, and early morning to become a professional field hockey player. As per Gemma Flynn, Di Weavers and her Mother are the most influential people in her life.
