Rain seals West Indies’ fate prematurely

Sidelights – ICC World T20 | Sri Lanka Vs West Indies

The stage was set and West Indies was favorite to win the game, but they lost the plot somewhere in the middle of the Sri Lankan innings and from there they could not make a comeback till Dwayne Bravo arrived at the pitch to repair the damage. Gayle and Samuels are to be blamed for the slow response to the Sri Lankan total of 160 which ultimately proved fatal for them as suddenly first a sandstorm and then unprecedented rain curtailed the game pre-maturely and the game was awarded to Sri Lanka on Duckworth Lewis method.
